Best MW2 Primary Weapon?

In your opinion what do you think is the best primary weapon?
When posting please consider the general ease you can kill people with with the gun, what ranges it is useful at, for example the P90 is a good weapon but it would be no good on a map where most of the time you come into long range combat, what perks are needed to make it good, what attachments are needed and finally which level the weapon is unlocked at because the vast majority of players will prestige every time they get the chance so therefore a weapon unlocked at level 2 would be better than a weapon unlocked at level 70 providing they were the same in all other aspects.

It honestly depends on what YOU are used to, what map you're playing, and what role you are taking to win the game.

Example 1: in a close quarters Sabotage match, I'd use something like the UMP .45 with perks like Marathon, Lightweight, and Steady Aim or Scrambler, if I was going to run the bomb.

Example 2: in a balanced Sabotage match, I'd use an M16 with Scavenger, Stopping Power, and Ninja, if I was going to provide forward support.

All the primary weapons are good. I would mainly stick with assault rifles, smg's, and sniping on certain maps. Have an LMG class handy in case the other team is pwning with constant airbourne killstreaks.

I have over 10 tactical nukes under my belt and a k/d over 2.50 by sticking to the bare COD basics. Call me old fashioned or cheap, but in my opinion, the FAMAS and M16 red dot is all you need to win and win big. One to two well placed 3 round bursts and your target is done. Sure its not the best at close range, but its also not the worst. Keep your distance and you will be on top. You cant go wrong with your secondary weapon, just make sure you are confindent with it.

Perks are imporatant. I use steady aim (not very usefull with M16, but why change what works), stopping power, and slieght of hand. I see alot of people that use bling instead of slieght of hand.

Also, I know its not really the topic, set high killstreaks such as 7 kill/11kill/25kill. Set your bar high so you always have something to fight for. Give it a shot! GLHF!

it usually kills someone in 2 bullets and has a huge clip at the same time reloads like an assault rifle...

Agreed, AUG HBAR is the best.
Accurate, High Damage, Large Clip, High reload speed.
And a pretty nice iron sight if you want a grip on it.

Funny, I just unlocked the HBAR, and my game completely changed. I used to swap guns a lot, between the FAL and the scar. I didn't think the scar had enough stopping power (it always felt as i would unload half a clip in someone and they'd twist around and one-shot me). The FAL was better, but is horrid in close combat, and the iron sights are just nasty.

For a while i used the SCAR with FMJ, which felt better, but i seemed always to be out of ammo as soon as i got on a roll.

The savior came in the form of the HBAR. Massive ammo loadout, very stable, quick aim, reloads insanely fast, decent iron sights, powerful even at range and cuts though walls like they're paper.

I can't wait until i get the FMJ for this beast, hopefully before they nerf it.
